General Notes: Max was also involved in the Israeli arms industry - inclding a secret underground factory near Rehovot for making grenades for the Hagganah - that was located under the Laundry of a Kibbutz.
The Hagganah had originally sought his assitance when he was still in Germany.
The Laundry actually had a contract to wash the British Army uniforms.
There is now a small museum there in which there is a picture of Max
Later on he visited Sheffield with my father Fred to look at materials for gun barrels.
Max married Charlotte BLAU , daughter of Dr. Louis BLAU and Bertha FISCHEL . Charlotte was born on 25 November 1894 in Berlin and died in 1983 in Haifa, Israel, at age 89.

General Notes: Interestingly Viktor wrote a paper on the Jewish cemetry at ROZMBERK NAD VLTAVOU (Rosenberg), which is one of the places at which LOUIS LOEWE studied (see "Celebrities of the Day") and at which his father Adolf was a Rabbi.
